The Brewers got to Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto early on Monday night, and a 7-4 win in Game 2 gives them a 2-0 lead in the NLCS. Teams are historically 8-51 when trailing 2-0 in the League Championship Series. The series now has a night off before it shifts to Los Angeles on Wednesday for Game 3.
In the late game, the Guardians waited out Rays starter Drew Rasmussen, then put on an offensive clinic against the bullpen to win Game 1 of the ALCS 7-3.
To reach this point, the Dodgers eliminated the Braves, the Brewers beat the Padres, the Rays knocked out the Yankees, and the Guardians escaped the White Sox. The Astros, Red Sox, Cubs and Phillies were eliminated in the best-of-three Wild Card Series.
